Our Year of Treats

I have decided to come back to blogging.  Why?  Because I really want all of the grandparents to see our pictures.  Last year I primarily posted to FB because it is so dang easy but I have realized that I have missed journaling and this is a way for me to look back on our years events.  Because I have come back, I hope you will too.  Anyway, I will start with winter of 2013.

Winter was a slow time for us.  The kids and I eagerly waited for snow but instead we ended up with a lot of cold air and frost.  However, it paid off when we got out of school so early in June because we had ZERO snow days to make up!  :-)  One Saturday morning, H grabbed the camera and went for a walk.

WINTER:

This was also the year of the Kendama.  K was introduced to Kendama by my parents via Academic Toolbox and was completely hooked after he spent a weekend at a Wenatchee Kendama Team event.  People and church and his teachers have accepted and now appreciate this "thing" that has been constantly hanging from his neck.  It takes one attempt for one to realize how much practice and skill is needed to accomplish any sort of trick.

Of course, in the winter, there is always a lot of this!

BFF's!!

My highlight of winter 2013 was running in the Shamrock Run with Kyle and K.  It was a new adventure for us and it was such a fun day!

6:00am Sunday morning.  It was cold and EARLY but we took the Max into downtown Portland and participated in the 5k.

I hope to do this again in 2015 but also include H.

Kyle literally finished the run, rushed home and got himself ready for his annual VFPD Pub Crawl.

We caught up with them at Beaches.  It was a fun day for us!  My mom was also down for a visit so she got to experience our St Paddy's Day celebrations!

I became the Dog Whisper  Not really, but boy do I love this dog and the fact that she tries so hard to be human!

She really wants that dinner!!!
